About LOL Camp

Laugh Out Loud "LOL" Camp is designated for "medical special needs children" who may not have had the experience of a day camp. Each day will consist of games, crafts, stories and all-around fun! All volunteer camp staff will be trained in first aid and CPR. There will be two nurses and one ambulance on site each day, and there will be one doctor on call each day.

Camp Date:     Tuesday, July 15; Wednesday, July 16; and Thursday, July 17, 2014

Place:     Hontz Hall, Gas City Park, Gas City, Indiana

Time:     10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Ages:     5-15 years

Cost:     There is NO FEE to attend camp.

Conditions for Campers:
1.    Applications must be filled out completely and returned prior to camp dates.

2.    Campers must have mobility, whether by walking themselves, wheelchair, or walkers, to enjoy the activities. Due to our type of camp, we will not be able to take autistic children.

3.    One parent or guardian must attend the first day unless otherwise stated. We want our parents to feel comfortable that your camper is being taken care of.

Emergency/Medical for Campers:     Two nurses and an ambulance with personnel will be on site. A doctor will be on call.

Volunteers:     All volunteers have received first aid and CPR training. Background checks will be run on all volunteers through the police department. Ratio of one volunteer to 1-2 campers.

Hold Harmless Agreement:     Must be signed by parents for campers to attend camp.

Camp Directions:     
FROM the east of Gas City, follow State Road 22, 3 miles west of I-69 (exit 259).
FROM the west of Gas City, follow State Road 22/US 35.  Cross the bridge over the Mississinewa River.

To get to the park:     Turn south at the Broadway Street stoplight (@ RJ Baskett Middle School).  Follow Broadway until you get to the park entrance on the right,  Make an immediate left inside the park and follow this drive to Hontz Hall Community Building.  It will be directly ahead and to the left.
